ifo Konjunkturumfragen und Konjunkturanalyse : ausgewählte methodische Aufsätze aus dem ifo Schnelldienst

Abstract

Das ifo Institut begleitet seit seiner Gründung im Jahr 1949 das aktuelle Wirtschaftsgeschehen durch seine regelmäßigen Konjunkturumfragen und Konjunkturprognosen. Daneben hat das ifo Institut aber immer auch Aufsätze zur methodischen Basis seiner Konjunkturforschung veröffentlicht. Die hier präsentierte Auswahl von ifo Schnelldienst-Artikeln aus dem Zeitraum 1999 bis 2007 betreffen folgende Interessensgebiete: ifo Konjunkturumfragen; ifo Konjunkturanalyse und Prognose; Wachstum und Konjunktur in der längerfristigen Perspektive; Statistische Grundlagen: Volkswirtschaftliche Gesamtrechnungen und Preise. - Die ausgewählten Artikel schlagen dabei zunächst einen Bogen von den Spezifika der ifo Konjunkturumfragen zu den methodischen Problemen von Konjunkturanalyse und -prognose. Dabei wird besonders auf die Charakteristika der ifo Konjunkturprognose eingegangen. Ein weiterer Themenkreis befasst sich mit ausgewählten längerfristigen Wirtschaftsproblemen im nationalen wie auch im internationalen Rahmen. Last but not least wird auf die wirtschaftsstatistischen Grundlagen der Konjunkturforschung eingegangen. Hierzu zählen etwa die Preis- und Volumenrechnungen in den Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesamtrechnungen sowie die Besonderheiten der harmonisierten Verbraucherpreisstatistik in Europa. - Mit diesem Sammelband soll die angesprochene Thematik, die bisher nur im ifo Schnelldienst veröffentlicht wurde, einem breiteren Leserkreis zugänglich gemacht werden. - Alle Autoren waren oder sind Mitarbeiter der Abteilung Konjunktur und Finanzmärkte bzw. der Abteilung Unternehmensbefragungen des ifo Instituts, Hans-Werner Sinn ist Präsident des ifo Instituts.
