¿Discriminación laboral o capital humano? : determinantes del ingreso laboral de los afrocartageneros

Abstract

Se cuantifican las diferencias en el ingreso laboral para los cartageneros en 2004 con la metodología Blinder-Oaxaca. Las desigualdades económicas se analizan desde dos causas: la primera corresponde a las desigualdades en el ingreso relativo que responde a las dotaciones, esto es porque los afrocartageneros poseen menos capital humano que el resto de la población, la diferencia en dotaciones que no siempre es significativa, en términos estadísticos, sí es sustancial, en términos económicos; la segunda, es la discriminación en el sentido económico, y opera por la desigualdad en la remuneración y a los factores de los precios relativos.
