Les trajectoires de l’innovation dans les services : vers un enrichissement des taxonomies évolutionnistes

Abstract

Cet article est consacré aux taxonomies évolutionnistes du changement technique, qui associent à des firmes ou secteurs donnés des comportements (ou trajectoires) technologiques-types. Ces taxonomies constituent un pas en avant important dans la compréhension des phénomènes technologiques, mais elles réduisent ou sous-estiment le degré de variété des comportements d'innovation. Une approche fonctionnelle du " produit ", tout en demeurant cohérente avec les hypothèses évolutionnistes, permet d'envisager de nouveaux comportements ou trajectoires d'innovation et de rompre à la fois avec le déterminisme technologique des taxonomies traditionnelles et le caractère univoque des relations entre secteurs d'activité et catégories de la taxonomie.
