Abstract

In dieser Arbeit werden Abschreibungsraten allgemeiner und beruflicher Ausbildungsinhalte im Erwerbsleben untersucht. Es wird analysiert, ob die Ausbildungsinhalte des Dualen Ausbildungssystems im Zeitalter der Akademisierung und der Computerrevolution eine beschleunigte Abschreibung erfahren haben. Datengrundlage sind subjektive Einschätzungen aus vier repräsentativen Erhebungen von westdeutschen Erwerbstätigen in den Jahren 1979, 1986, 1992 und 1999. Die ökonometrischen Ergebnisse liefern Hinweise auf eine beschleunigte Abschreibung beruflicher Ausbildungsinhalte mit negativen Folgen für den Arbeitsverdienst und die Beschäftigung von Erwerbstätigen mit Lehre.
