La Pol�Tica Monetaria En Colombia

Abstract

El art�culo hace una narraci�n de la pol�tica monetaria en Colombia. Por ser una narraci�n de la pol�tica monetaria en una econom�a abierta, el art�culo hace �nfasis en los conceptos de trilema de la pol�tica monetaria, ancla nominal y regimenes monetarios. Adem�s, la narraci�n incluye el per�odo actual de r�gimen de inflaci�n objetivo, presenta los antecedentes acad�micos y la definici�n del r�gimen de inflaci�n objetivo, y presenta las caracter�sticas actuales de este r�gimen en Colombia. La principal implicaci�n de pol�tica es que el requisito m�s importante para mantener la estabilidad de precios es que el Banco de la Rep�blica procure mantener la meta de inflaci�n firme, y dirija las tasas de inter�s en consecuencia, ante aumentos de la inflaci�n producidos por presiones de demanda, devaluaciones y aumentos en la inflaci�n de alimentos
