Forecast for the Services Sector in Germany

Author

Listed:
  • Klaus Wohlrabe

Abstract

The services sector accounts for over 70% of German gross value added, but business cycle analysis and forecasting in this segment is underdeveloped; and research in this area is in its very early days. To close this gap somewhat, indicators for six different sub-segments of the services sector were identified according to their forecasting properties.
