Human capital in firms and regions: Impact on firm productivity

Abstract

type="main" xml:lang="es"> Este trabajo analiza la importancia del capital humano para la productividad de las empresas y establece una clara distinción entre el papel del capital humano dentro y fuera de la empresa. Se emplea un modelo multinivel para el sector de servicios a empresas en Suecia, después de controlar por heterogeneidad en la industria y por nivel municipal. El capital humano en las empresas en términos de educación, experiencia y habilidades cognitivas, así como el acceso general de la empresa al capital humano, tiene un impacto positivo en la productividad de las empresas. Además, las características de la empresa explican la mayor proporción de la varianza de la productividad de la empresa.
