Neue soziale Risiken in Österreich im europäischen Vergleich

Abstract

Der Wohlstand entwickelte sich in den vergangenen Jahrzehnten nicht für alle Bevölkerungsgruppen gleichmäßig. Der Bericht zeigt anhand verschiedener Indikatoren, welche sozioökonomischen Gruppen verstärkt mit Risiken der Arbeitslosigkeit, Erwerbslosigkeit, Armut und Ausgrenzung konfrontiert sind. Die Armutsgefährdung der Kinder und Jugendlichen weist über den Lebensverlauf in Europa ein deutliches Nord-Süd-Gefälle auf. Die Verbesserung der Startbedingungen am Übergang aus dem Schulsystem in den Arbeitsmarkt setzt Verbesserungen im Erstausbildungssystem voraus, um die Arbeitsmarktintegration zu ermöglichen. Beim Übertritt von der Erwerbsphase in die Pensionsphase sind immer mehr Ältere von mangelnder Arbeitsmarktintegration betroffen, die eine unterschiedliche soziale Absicherung der Pensionsgeneration in den europäischen Ländern zur Folge hat.
