Biographien der Inanspruchnahme von Gesundheitsdienstleistungen vor dem Antritt von Invaliditäts- und Berufsunfähigkeitspensionen

Abstract

Die vorliegende Arbeit analysiert den Zusammenhang von beanspruchten Gesundheitsdienstleistungen und krankheitsbedingten Erwerbsbeendigungen. Insgesamt steigt mit zunehmendem Alter der unselbständig Beschäftigten die Häufigkeit der Inanspruchnahme von Gesundheitsdienstleistungen: sowohl die Häufigkeit der Arztbesuche als auch die Häufigkeit und Zahl der verordneten Heilmittel und der Krankenhausaufenthalte. Eine Vergleichsgruppenanalyse macht deutliche Unterschiede sichtbar: Personen, die 2009 in eine krankheitsbedingte Pension übertraten, wiesen schon fünf Jahre davor einen weit überdurchschnittlichen Medikamentenkonsum, häufigere Arztbesuche und auch häufigere Krankenhausaufenthalte auf.
