Arbeitsplatzbelastungen, arbeitsbedingte Krankheiten und Invalidität

Abstract

Arbeitsplatzbelastungen haben große Bedeutung für den Gesundheitszustand der Erwerbstätigen. Sechs Arten der physischen Arbeitsbelastung verursachen rund 23% der jährlichen Krankenstände in Österreich. Arbeitsplatzbelastungen üben auch einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf die krankheitsbedingte Beendigung der Erwerbstätigkeit aus: Ein Drittel der neu zuerkannten Direktpensionen erfolgt krankheitsbedingt (Männer rund 50%, Frauen rund 20%). Drei Erkrankungsgruppen sind für fast drei Viertel der krankheitsbedingten Pensionsübertritte bestimmend. Hauptursachen für die Entstehung von Muskel-Skelett-Erkrankungen, den häufigsten Anlass für krankheitsbedingte Pensionsübertritte der Männer, sind die Belastungsfaktoren "schwere körperliche Arbeit" und "Vibration". Allein durch deren Eindämmung könnte die Zahl der Muskel-Skelett-Erkrankungen um ein Drittel gesenkt und damit die Zahl der krankheitsbedingten Pensionsübertritte entsprechend verringert werden. Mittel- und langfristig kann die Zahl der krankheitsbedingten Erwerbsaustritte in Österreich nur durch eine systematische Bekämpfung von Arbeitsplatzbelastungen gesenkt werden.
