Saglik ile Buyume

Abstract

Bu calisma sagligin ekonomik buyume uzerindeki etkilerini incelemektedir. Emegin uretime katilma etkinligini belirleyen onemli etmenlerden biri saglik(sizlik)tir. Ustelik emegin verimliligi kendi saglikliligi kadar toplumsal sagliklilik ile de yakindan ilintilidir. Yani sagligin dissallik (externality) etkisi de vardir. O halde sagligin (ya da sagliksizligin) ekonomik buyume uzerinde onemli etkileri olmalidir. Oysa bu etki ekonomi yazininda yeterince gosterilmemistir. Bu kuramsal calismada sagligin ekonomik buyume uzerindeki etkisini sagligin olculebilir bir tanimini gelistirerek gosterecegiz. Yine bu calismada piyasa mekanizmasinin sagligin dissallik etkisini gozonune almadigi icin Pareto etkinligi saglayamadigi ve kamunun saglik konusunda daha etkin rol oynamasinin daha basarili bir ekonomik performans icin gerekli oldugu savi simulasyonlar yardimi ile desteklenecektir.
