Istruzione, Crescita e Democrazia: le Teorie della Complessa Relazione

L'obiettivo di questo articolo è quello di analizzare come la letteratura economica ha studiato le relazioni che possono instaurarsi tra istruzione, democrazia e crescita economica. La prima parte del lavoro propone una sintetica rassegna di tre filoni di ricerca che hanno esaminato separatamente le relazioni tra istruzione e crescita, democrazia e crescita, e istruzione e democrazia. La seconda parte del lavoro analizza contemporaneamente le interrelazioni tra istruzione, democrazia e crescita concentrando l'attenzione su due contributi recenti (Bourguignon e Verdier (2000) e Rajan e Zingales (2006)).
