Abstract

The heightened frequency of unexpected and unknown disruptions has drawn the attention of academics and practitioners to uncover sustainable solutions to make organizations resilient. Grounding on the logic rooted in the conservation of resource (COR) theory, this study examined the influences of human resource support climate (HRSC) and innovative climate (IC) on organizational resilience (OR) via employee resilience (ER). We followed the deductive reasoning approach and collected 282 responses from business organizations. Our results showed that HRSC significantly influenced IC, and both IC and HRSC significantly influenced OR. The mediation analysis showed that the ER partially mediated the influences of IC and HRSC on OR. The study provides notable insights into the literature of OR and proposes solutions to the neutralization of post-COVID shocks. Theoretical and managerial implications and future research directions have been discussed.
