A Kelet-afrikai Közösség belső kereskedelmére ható tényezők
[Factors determining the intra-regional trade of the East African Community]

Abstract

Napjainkban a regionális integrációk egyre fontosabb szereplői a világgazdaságnak, így az integrációhoz való tartozás számos előnnyel járhat. Az afrikai kontinensen az integrációs kezdeményezések már a gyarmati korszak után megjelentek. A belső kereskedelem alakulása integrációnként más és más képet mutat, és a kontinens keleti és déli részén találhatók azok az integrációk, amelyek a belső kereskedelemben nagyobb aktivitást fejtenek ki, köztük a Kelet-afrikai Közösség is. A tanulmány a Kelet-afrikai Közösség tagországainak belső kereskedelmére ható tényezőket vizsgálja. A tényezők között kiemelt szerepet játszanak a külső források - a külföldi működőtőke-befektetések, a segélyek, a hazautalások -, illetve a belső kereskedelem áruszerkezetének alakulása, ami alapot adhat a további növekedéshez. A szakirodalmi áttekintés és a statisztikai vizsgálat rámutatott, hogy a külföldi működőtőke-befektetések jelenthetik a leghatékonyabb forrást a belső kereskedelem növeléséhez, amihez a régió tőkevonzó képességének pozitív változása is hozzájárult.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: F15, F21, F24, F35.
