Abstract

This study investigates how climate risk disclosure influences corporate green innovation using data from Chinese A-share listed companies (2012–2022). The findings indicate that such disclosure significantly enhances firm green innovation, with digital transformation strengthening this effect. Furthermore, climate risk disclosure promotes green innovation by increasing environmental investment and improving environmental, social, and governance performance, and there are more pronounced effects in high-pollution industries and state-owned enterprises.
