Aus 2 mach 1: Die bundesweite Zusammenlegung von Haupt- und Realschulen zur Oberschule

Abstract

Die Debatte über eine bundesweite Zusammenlegung von Haupt- und Realschule ist spätestens seit der Vorstellung des neuen „Bildungskonzeptes“ der CDU wieder angefacht worden. Durch die Integration beider Schularten zu einer Oberschule sollen vor allem der Ruf der Hauptschule als „Restschule“ sowie der immer noch in Deutschland existierende negative Zusammenhang zwischen der sozialen Herkunft und den Bildungserfolgen bekämpft werden. Doch es gibt noch weitere Argumente für die Umstrukturierung der Schullandschaft, nämlich die Wirkung von Peer-Group Effekten und die positiven Auswirkungen von einer zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt stattfindenden Leistungsdifferenzierung. Mit Hilfe dieser vier Aspekte kann eine Zusammenlegung beider Schultypen unterstützt werden.
