Arbeitsmarkt und Demokratie: Politische Folgewirkungen betrieblicher Mitbestimmung

Abstract

Die arbeitsmarktökonomische Forschung zu Betriebsräten hat über eine lange Zeit hinweg gesamtgesellschaftliche Implikationen vernachlässigt und ausschließlich die ökonomischen Konsequenzen untersucht, die sich auf betrieblicher Ebene ergeben. Erst seit Kurzem gehen Studien der Frage nach, welche Auswirkungen betriebliche Mitbestimmung auf das politische Interesse und die politischen Einstellungen von Beschäftigten hat. Der vorliegende Beitrag diskutiert die theoretischen Grundlagen, die zentralen empirischen Befunde und die politischen Implikationen.
