Importwettbewerb mit China. Auswirkungen auf das Wachstum der Unternehmensproduktivität in der EU

Abstract

Die Zunahme des Anteils chinesischer Importe am gesamten Importaufkommen dämpfte im Zeitraum 2003/2016 das Produktivitätswachstum von Unternehmen in der EU. Dieser Effekt fiel bei wachstumsstarken Unternehmen stärker aus und war im Niedrigtechnologiesektor größer als im Hochtechnologiebereich. Multinationale Unternehmen konnten dagegen von einer Zunahme der Importintensität mit China profitieren, wobei ein hohes Produktivitätswachstum in diesem Fall die positiven Effekte verstärkte.
