La relation croissance-chômage en Tunisie : validation de la spécification non linéaire de la loi d’Okun

Abstract

Ce travail propose de tester pour l'économie tunisienne la validité de la relation d’Okun appliquée à des données annuelles de PIB réel et de chômage couvrant la période 1980-2015. Il est vérifié l’existence d’une relation non linéaire entre la croissance et le chô-mage : le chômage cyclique est plus sensible aux variations du PIB (output gap) en phases de récession qu’en phases d’expansion. L’analyse de la relation de causalité non linéaire entre le chômage et la croissance montre une causalité significative dans un seul sens allant de l’output gap au chômage.
