Abstract

This study examines how national-level institutions influence corporate attitudes towards green innovation while also considering the role of institutional investor types in a global context. Drawing on Institutional Theory, we present evidence that the geographical context significantly affects the variation in green innovation among firms. Furthermore, our findings indicate that investors’ involvement in promoting green innovation is closely linked to their investment horizon, which is aligned with their specific institutional category.
