Abstract

Le vieillissement et l'innovation sont souvent considérés comme des phénomènes contradictoires. Cet article, consacré à l'innovation et au changement dans les services de soins aux personnes âgées (SSPA), vise à tenter de rompre avec ce préjugé. En s'appuyant en particulier sur une définition des SSPA inspirée de l'économie des services, cet article propose une grille simple d'analyse de l'innovation en termes de « cibles ». Ces cibles, qui permettent de contourner les catégories économiques habituelles (innovation de produit, innovation de process) sont les suivantes : les formules d'accueil, les technologies (matérielles et immatérielles), les services offerts, l'environnement humain (soignants et parents), l'environnement institutionnel.
