Allianzfähigkeit — Eine Analyse zur Operationalisierung und Erfolgswirkung im Kontext von F&E-Allianzen

Abstract

Zusammenfassung Strategische Allianzen erfreuen sich in der Wirtschaft anhaltender Beliebtheit. Es ist jedoch festzustellen, dass eine Vielzahl von ihnen als erfolglos einzustufen ist. Die Erfolgsquote unterscheidet sich dabei von Unternehmen zu Unternehmen, weshalb organisationale Faktoren, wie die Allianzfähigkeit, für die zu beobachtende Erfolgsheterogenität verantwortlich zu machen sind. Der Beitrag verfolgt die Zielsetzung, auf Basis des Dynamic Capabilities View zentrale Dimensionen der Allianzfähigkeit zu identifizieren, um ein besseres Bild dieses bislang nur unzureichend spezifizierten Konstrukts zu erhalten. Darüber hinaus wird theoriebasiert die Erfolgwirkung von Allianzfähigkeit vor dem Hintergrund des moderierenden Faktors Umfelddynamik betrachtet. Basierend auf Daten aus einer Befragung von 302 Unternehmen wird das hergeleitete Untersuchungsmodell mithilfe von Strukturgleichungsanalysen getestet. Es zeigt sich, dass Allianzfähigkeit valide als fünfdimensionales Modell mit den Dimensionen interorganisationale Koordination, Allianzportfoliokoordination, interorganisationales Lernen, Allianzproaktivität sowie Allianzanpassung gemessen werden kann. Ferner besteht eine positive Wirkung von Allianzfähigkeit auf den Allianzerfolg. Auch der Einfluss der Umfelddynamik auf die Wirkungsintensität der Allianzfähigkeit kann empirisch nachgewiesen werden.
