Wunsch und Wirklichkeit – die langfristige Klimastrategie der Europäischen Union

Abstract

Aktuellen Schätzungen zufolge könnte die EU ihr Klimaziel von 30% Emissionsminderung bis 2020 erreichen. Um allerdings Treibhausgasneutralität bis 2050 zu erreichen, müssen weitere Maßnahmen ergriffen werden. Notwendig ist eine umfassende Bepreisung von Treibhausgasemissionen der bisher nicht vom EU-Emissionshandelssystem erfassten Emissionen und negative Emissionen, die aus der Schaffung von CO2-Senken oder dem Einsatz von CCS-Technologien zur CO2-Abscheidung und -Speicherung resultieren.
