Abstract

"Drawing on measures of relative income poverty, this report compares the level and development of in-work poverty in Germany and the United States for the years 1994-2006. It also considers general poverty trends and poverty among non-employed persons in both countries. For the employed, the influence of low earnings and of the household context on the poverty risk is discussed." (Author's abstract, IAB-Doku) ((en))
