Trade liberalization in the international pork sector : analysis of zero-for-zero option

Abstract

L'objectif de cette étude est d'évaluer les effets de l'élimination des barrières tarifaires, en particulier les subventions et taxes à l'exportation, et droits de douane, sur les marchés internationaux de la viande de porc. Le modèle mondial des produits carnés du Food and agriculture policy research institute (FAPRI) a été utilisé pour mesurer ces impacts sur les prix mondiaux, l'offre, la demande, les échanges commerciaux et les revenus des producteurs. Les résultats des simulations montrent un accroissement du prix mondial de la viande de porc, une expansion des exportations des pays producteurs à faibles coûts de production et une augmentation des importations. Tous ces scénarios montrent également le rôle primordial joué par la Chine sur le marché international de la viande de porc.
