I differenziali di mobilità salariale in Italia dal 1986 al 1996

Abstract

Nel presente studio si è cercato di analizzare la mobilità salariale dei lavoratori dipendenti in Italia come fenomeno di interesse autonomo, che caratterizza tipologie proprie delle posizioni lavorative e delle tipologie di lavoratori. Il fenomeno della mobilità è stato quindi analizzato cercando di cogliere il rapporto con le caratteristiche dei lavoratori e dei posti di lavoro, esaminare eventuali cambiamenti dei profili retributivi nell’'arco di tempo di riferimento e verificare la capacità esplicativa di alcune teorie sulle dinamiche salariali. Si è poi proposto un differente punto di vista del rapporto tra mobilità economica e disuguaglianza salariale. I metodi utilizzati per tale analisi sono di due tipi: quello delle matrici di transizione, utilizzato per determinare indici di mobilità salariale ed osservare graficamente le transizioni tra classi retributive; un modello logit multinomiale sui differenziali di mobilità salariale, scomposta negli eventi che la caratterizzano. Buona parte dell’'analisi è stata ristretta alla classe dei lavoratori nati tra il 1960 e il 1965, in modo da depurare una parte sostanziale della variabilità della mobilità dovuta ad una componente direttamente legata al profilo per età delle retribuzioni. La banca dati utilizzata è il panel Inps-Isfol dei lavoratori dipendenti del settore privato.
