Factores De Influencia En La Localización Regional De La Infraestructura Bancaria Argentina: El Caso De La Provincia De Córdoba

Abstract

Este trabajo describe los dos canales principales de servicios bancarios en la provincia de Córdoba durante 2000-2013. Mientras el número de sucursales revela un deterioro en la disponibilidad de los servicios, los indicadores para cajeros automáticos exhiben una mejoría. Sin embargo, esta expansión se produjo en localidades que ya cuentan con sucursales bancarias. Instalar una sucursal en localidades con menos de 10.000 habitantes no es rentable para la banca privada. Los servicios bancarios previamente establecidos, la población, los empleados y los jubilados incentivan la radicación de una mayor infraestructura bancaria. El aumento en el nivel de privación por parte de la población estaría asociado a una menor demanda de los servicios bancarios, lo que generaría menores incentivos para la apertura de sucursales y/o cajeros. El nivel de educación primaria parece definir una demanda superior en el caso de las sucursales.
