Evénement et temporalité en gestion : implication pour les pratiques d'anticipation

Abstract

Si l'anticipation est orientée vers un futur inconnu, une discussion sur des pratiques managériales ne devrait-elle pas interroger la temporalité sous-tendant les courants de gestion. L'évolution de la recherche vers des approches « processuelles » reste basée sur une logique de temps linéaire avec un focus sur une description orientée vers le passé, contrairement au besoin d'anticipation orienté vers le futur. Nous proposons une analyse des concepts temporels des courants classiques de la recherche organisationnelle pour mieux en comprendre les conséquences onto-épistémologiques induites et pour discuter l'intérêt théorique d'une conception de l'événement qui associe une partie factuelle et une partie symbolique. L'objectif sera de rendre visible l'écart dans la littérature existante et de contribuer, au travers d'une conception innovante de l'événement, à répondre à la demande du courant de la recherche organisationnelle de théorisation temporelle plus dynamique pour conserver et créer des capacités d'agir dans le futur.
