Estimation of Private Stock of Rice in Bangladesh:In Search of a Practicable Methodology

Abstract

The paper critically reviews existing published and unpublished literature on the methodologies for estimation of marketed surplus and private stocks of rice in Bangladesh and enumerates their strengths and weaknesses, then suggest alternative concepts and methods to overcome them.
