L’entreprise innovatrice. Un regard vers demain

Abstract

In a study of computer utilization carried out in 1708 Quebec organizations, somme 150 of those organizations are users of CAD and/or CAM technologies. For the purpose of this study, they are identified as innovators. Our general hypothesis is that the innovative organizations will differ from all other organizations using computer technology both in terms of the degree of penetration of technology and in terms of the subsequent impact of this technology on the number and the productivity of different categories of employees. L’entreprise innovatrice serait-elle précurseure de ce qui pourrait se passer demain? Voilà la question que nous soulevons dans cet article. Après avoir brossé un tableau de l’entreprise innovatrice, nous étudierons son comportement et en particulier celui de sa main-d’oeuvre suite à l’introduction et à l’utilisation de la technologie informatique. L’analyse des résultats laisse entrevoir de profonds bouleversements dans la main-d’oeuvre si certaines des tendances observées dans ces entreprises se généralisaient.
