Le determinanti dei tassi di interesse bancari nelle regioni italiane

Abstract

Il lavoro presenta un?analisi delle dinamiche dei tassi di interesse bancari nelle regioni italiane, in relazione alle caratteristiche del mercato bancario locale. La verifica empirica vuole indagare l?influenza che variabili riferibili alla densita e alla concentrazione della rete bancaria, alla qualita del credito e alla produttivita regionale esercitano sul costo dei finanziamenti bancari. I risultati evidenziano in particolare una relazione diretta tra sofferenze su crediti e tassi di interesse, un costo del credito piu elevato in presenza di una crescente concentrazione bancaria e una riduzione dei tassi di interesse nelle regioni in cui e maggiore la presenza di banche locali.
