Mindestlohn in Ostdeutschland: Firmen planen Preiserhöhungen und Personalabbau

Abstract

Das IFO INSTITUT hat seine monatliche Unternehmensbefragung im November 2014 einmalig um zwei Fragen zum Mindestlohn erweitert. Insgesamt geben 43% der befragten ostdeutschen Firmen an, vom Mindestlohn betroffen zu sein; in Westdeutschland zeigen nur 24% der Firmen eine Betroffenheit an. Außerdem wurden die Befragungsteilnehmer nach deren geplanten Maßnahmen gefragt. In Ostdeutschland wollen demzufolge knapp 40% der betroffenen Unternehmen ihre Preise erhöhen. Als zweitwichtigste Maßnahme wurde die Kürzung von Sonderzahlungen genannt (30%). Zudem zieht jedes vierte Unternehmen in Ostdeutschland einen Personalabbau in Erwägung.
