Wechselwirkungen zwischen Mindestlohn und Tariflohn: Verschiedene Typen im Branchenvergleich

Abstract

Die Wechselwirkungen zwischen gesetzlichem Mindestlohn und Tarifpolitik sind erst seit kurzem im Fokus der vergleichenden Forschung. Ausgehend von der Segmentation des Tarifsystems zeigt der Beitrag, dass die Einführung des gesetzlichen Mindestlohns mit unterschiedlichen Wirkungstypen innerhalb Deutschlands einhergeht. Vor allem in Branchen mit geringem Lohnniveau kommt es zu einer Dominanz des Mindestlohns. Sind dagegen das Tariflohnniveau wie auch die Tarifbindung hoch, ist der Mindestlohn ohne Bedeutung. Es gibt jedoch auch Branchen, wo der gesetzliche Mindestlohn als Referenzpunkt für Tariflohnerhöhungen gilt, um die unteren Lohngruppen (knapp) über dem Mindestlohn festzulegen. Da die jeweilige Höhe der Tariflohnerhöhungen wiederum die nachfolgende Anpassung des Mindestlohns beeinflusst, liegt hier eine explizite Wechselwirkung vor.
