El debate sobre los agrocarburantes: unos comentarios desde Europa

Abstract

Se abordan algunas facetas, a veces no suficientemente abordadas, del presente debate sobre los biocombustibles: la importancia de los subproductos en la alimentacion animal; la necesidad de que los precios mundiales de los cereales tengan un nivel adecuado; ciertos efectermina con algunas consideracioens europeas y recapitulacioens, incluyendo lo que puede ser quizas una de las ocasiones perdidas de la reforma de la PAC que se acaba de aprobar. We develop some aspects, not always in the center of discussions, of the current debate on biofuels: the relevance of the by-products for the animal feed industry; the fact that word cereal prices should cover production costs in the main world producing regions; some indirect environmental impacts; the role of the Mandate and the need for greater flexibility;. We ended with some European comments, including what could be one of the missed occasion of the recently approved CAP reform.
