Leitfaden für den Aufbau und das Management stabiler Unternehmenskooperationen: Handlungsempfehlungen am Beispiel der deutschen Automobilindustrie

Abstract

Nicht alle Kooperationsprojekte von Unternehmen sind erfolgreich. Manche werden vorzeitig beendet und andere werden grundlegend umstrukturiert, sobald Konstruktions- oder Managementfehler identifiziert werden. Häufig ist es einfach so, dass die Kooperationsziele völlig verfehlt oder graduell nicht erreicht werden. Dieser empirische Befund lässt das Augenmerk auf das Kooperationsmanagement richten, sowohl in seiner strategischen als auch in seiner operativen Dimension. In diesem umfassenden Sinne sind die Erfolgsfaktoren im Kooperationsmanagement verankert. Eine der grundlegenden Voraussetzungen für den Kooperationserfolg besteht darin, einen Ausgleich zwischen der Stabilität der Zusammenarbeit und der notwendigen Flexibilität sicherzustellen. Letztere soll dabei der Umweltunsicherheit Rechnung tragen. Im vorliegenden IfG-Arbeitspapier von Kersten Lange, das auf seiner Dissertation, einer empirischen Analyse von Kooperationen in der Automobilindustrie, beruht, wird die Stabilität der Kooperation selbst als Erfolgsfaktor definiert. Es werden zuerst die Determinanten der Stabilität erforscht und auf dieser Grundlage werden Handlungsempfehlungen für das Kooperationsmanagement abgeleitet. Differenziert wird zwischen der Schaffung von stabilisierenden Elementen in der Governance der Kooperation und stabilisierenden Maßnahmen im operativen Kooperationsmanagement. Die so gefundenen Faktoren lassen sich zu einer Checkliste konfigurieren, die eine wertvolle Unterstützung für ein stabilitätsorientiertes Management von Kooperationen darstellt. Dieses Arbeitspapier entstammt dem IfG-Forschungscluster II: Unternehmenskooperationen.
