Kooperationen in der Automobilindustrie: Analyse und Systematisierung

Abstract

Nicht nur die konjunkturelle Entwicklung spiegelte sich in den vergangenen Jahren sehr deutlich in der Automobilindustrie, sondern sie überlagerte grundlegende strukturelle Entwicklungen, die Kersten Lange in seinem IfG-Arbeitspapier aufzeigt. Zusammengefasst als dritte Revolution der Automobilindustrie bezeichnet, zeigen sich große Herausforderungen für die Hersteller, die deutlich geänderte Rahmenbedingungen mit sich gebracht haben. Diese wirken sich sowohl auf die Nachfrage, als auch auf die Produktion, zusätzlich auf die Entwicklungsanforderungen aus. Wenig überraschend und vergleichbar mit den Strategien in anderen Branchen, die sich durch einen starken Wandel auszeichnen, haben auch die Unternehmen der Automobilindustrie bereits vor Jahren mit Kooperationen und dem Aufbau größerer Netzwerke begonnen. Diese strategischen und organisatorischen Reformen verändern vor allem die Arbeitsteilung zwischen den OEM und den Zulieferunternehmen. Auf diese Weise entstehen neue Formen von Wertschöpfungspartnerschaften, die sich untereinander konkurrieren. Herr Langes Arbeitspapier bereitet eine größere Studie vor, in der diese Koperationsmuster theoretisch und empirisch analysiert werden. Vorerst galt es, die geänderten Rahmenbedingungen herauszuarbeiten und die bereits vorhandenen Studien über Automobilkooperationen anhand zahlreicher Kriterien zu systematisieren und die wesentlichen Ergebnisse einzuordnen. Dies ist überzeugend gelungen und wird in diesem Arbeitspapier vorgestellt. Dieses Arbeitspapier entstammt dem IfGForschungscluster II: Unternehmenskooperationen.
