Innovationsbeteiligung, Innovationen und Produktivität in der deutschen Wirtschaft

Abstract

Die Studie untersucht die Innovationsleistung und die Produktivitätsentwicklung der deutschen Wirtschaft unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Situation in mittelständischen Unternehmen und des Beitrags dieser Unternehmen zu Innovation und Produktivität. Datenbasis der Analysen ist des Mannheimer Innovationspanel (MIP) des ZEW. Im Zentrum der Studie stehen folgende Fragestellungen: Wie haben sich die Innovationsaktivitäten in verschiedenen Gruppen von Unternehmen (Mittelstand, Größe, Branche, Region, Internationalisierung) sowohl inputseitig (Innovationsausgaben, Innovationsaktivitäten) als auch outputseitig (Anmeldung von Patenten, Einführung von unterschiedlichen Arten von Innovationen, direkte wirtschaftliche Erträge aus Innovationen) entwickelt? Welche Faktoren bestimmen die Innovationstätigkeit der (mittelständischen) Unternehmen sowohl in positiver (Antriebskräfte) als auch negativer Hinsicht (Hindernisse)? Welchen Beitrag leisten Innovationen zur Produktivität der (mittelständischen) Unternehmen, und wie hat sich dieser Beitrag über die Zeit entwickelt? Welche Rolle spielt die öffentliche Förderung von Forschungs- und Innovationsaktivitäten für die Innovationsleistung der Unternehmen und in welchem Umfang nehmen unterschiedliche Arten von Unternehmen unterschiedliche Instrumente der Forschungs- und Innovationsförderung in Anspruch?
