The Well Being of an Institution of Higher Learning and its Faculty Composition

Abstract

We construct a model that develops linkages within the workings of the university or college that are sensitive to faculty composition and other relevant variables. We parameterize the model and use it to identify optimal faculty composition as well as the sensitivity of a school’s well-being to its faculty composition.
