La política exterior colombiana; Una institución estancada en la historia

Abstract

La política exterior se entiende como una política pública, encaminada a la consecución de los intereses de un Estado, mediante la interacción con los otros actores del sistema internacional. Su diseno y aplicación, debe fundamentarse en la capacidad que tengan los gobiernos en consolidar los espacios políticos y económicos mediante alianzas estratégicas de mediano y largo plazo, con los demás actores del sistema internacional. El propósito principal de este ensayo, es analizar la evolución de la política exterior colombiana y la influencia que los distintos modelos, han tenido a lo largo de la historia, marcado principalmente por el réspice polum, como paradigma prevalente durante la mayor parte de nuestro devenir histórico. Así mismo, estudiará los pilares teóricos que el institucionalismo aporta en su diseno, aplicación y transformación, generando con ello, herramientas fundamentales de obligado estudio.
