Abstract

Der wirtschaftliche Erfolg von Regionen hängt unter anderem von ihrer Fähigkeit ab, ein attraktiver Standort für (Hoch-) Qualifizierte zu sein. Dieser Beitrag zeigt, dass Humankapitalbewegungen eher von regionalen Disparitäten in den Beschäftigungschancen determiniert werden, während regionale Lohnunterschiede nur eine untergeordnete Rolle spielen.
