Export status and assistance needs of US high-value agribusiness

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to ascertain how export assistance needs may vary across exporting status of agribusinesses, whether the firm is a high-involvement exporter, a low-involvement exporter, or a firm that does not currently export but intends to export. This analysis also provides information regarding which assistance needs are most and least important overall. The study also seeks to ascertain how firm size, business experience, sole location, wholesaling|distribution of own products, type of product sold, and location influence export status. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
