Abstract

[eng] German reunification, dynamics and constraints : a general framework. . We analyze the effects of german unification on the labor, goods and exchange markets, and on the budget deficit, using a theoretical dynamic model of the two regions of Germany. We pay a particular attention to immigration flows, to the evolution of production capacity in the eastern zone, and to the dynamics of public debt and of the balance of payments. We examine the possibility of pursuing an incentive policy aiming at developing the productive sector of eastern Germany, in order to limit the asymmetry between the two zones. [fre] Réunification allemande dynamique et contraintes. Un cadre d'analyse. .
