Abstract

Kutatásunk célja, hogy felhívjuk a figyelmet egy olyan problémára, amellyel a kutatók az empirikus ökonometriai modellek konstruktív, specifikációs tesztek alapján történő építése során találkozhatnak. Munkánkban az Európai Parlament FP5, FP6 és FP7 keretprogramjainak a regionális innovációra gyakorolt hatásának modellezésével megmutatjuk, hogy a különböző megközelítések alkalmazásával a preferáltként illesztett modell különböző lehet. Rámutatunk arra, hogy a specifikációs teszteljárások alkalmazási sorrendjének nincsen egyértelműen követhető módszertana. Ezért a kutatói intuíció függvényében ugyanaz a kiindulási modell különböző preferált modellekhez vezethet, ami mind tudományos, mind szakpolitikai szempontból különösen problémás lehet.* Journal of Economic Literature (JEL) kód: C21, C22, C23.
