•Determinants of turnover intention of Chinese online ride-hailing drivers.•Four factors affect the job satisfaction of online ride-hailing drivers.•Demographic variables release the moderating effects.•Incentive policies affect the turnover intention of online ride-hailing drivers.•Job burnout significantly affects turnover intention.
