La educación y el ingreso como determinantes de la esperanza de vida en Colombia - 2002-2012

Abstract

Este estudio sugiere la relación que se presenta entre la esperanza de vida factores socioeconómicos como el ingreso y la educación, para Colombia en el periodo comprendido entre 2002 y 2012. Con este propósito se realizó un modelo de regresión múltiple con series temporales, para el cual se utilizaron como variables independientes el PIB per cápita y la TBMC (Tasa Bruta de atriculación Combinada), cuyos datos fueron obtenidos del Banco Mundial, proyecciones del DANE (Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística) y del Ministerio de Educación Nacional. Los resultados reflejan que el ingreso por habitante y el indicador de educación tienen un efecto positivo sobre la esperanza de vida de los colombianos.
