Estructura productiva laboral y pobreza en México: un análisis municipal en tres regiones

Abstract

Identificar sectores productivos estratégicos es un tema relevante en el diseno de políticas de desarrollo regional. Este artículo relaciona la estructura productiva laboral con la pobreza de los municipios de México agregados en tres regiones en 2015. Se estiman modelos de pobreza multidimensional para las ramas de empleo, controlando factores económicos, demográficos y territoriales. Se encuentran resultados diferenciados por región y nivel de desagregación del sector productivo. En el sur del país, ramas como transportes, servicios de comunicación, educación, salud, gobierno y turismo se relacionan con menor pobreza. En el centro y el norte, la pobreza disminuye con ocupaciones como la producción de maquinaria y equipo, seguros, servicios corporativos, actividades profesionales, recreativas y de gobierno. Se evidencia que políticas de reducción de la pobreza orientadas al impulso económico deben considerar las condiciones regionales y la estructura productiva laboral.
