Quelle éducation pour les enfants travailleurs dans l'industrie de la briqueterie en Inde ?

Abstract

The economic theory considers education as the perfect substitute of child labour. Education is presented like a homogeneous institution, the only way possible to get children out from the labour market. We distinguish formal and informal education. Each household according to its financial standing chooses one or the other form of education. Child labour in the brick kiln industry shows that the parents? choice for the traditional training is perceived as an apprenticeship of life.
