Returns to Secondary and Tertiary Education in China - A Meta-Analysis

Abstract

In this paper, we conduct a meta-analysis using 1429 estimates extracted from 61 English and Chinese studies to estimate the wage effect of secondary and tertiary education in China. The meta-synthesis results show that the impact of tertiary education on wage levels is about twice that of secondary education. The test results for publication selection bias confirm that the literature contains genuine empirical evidence.
