Productivité et R&D au Luxembourg

Une manière de vérifier la pertinence de la théorie de la croissance endogène est de tester en économie fermée l’existence d’une relation entre l’innovation et la productivité globale des facteurs. Plus récemment, cette approche a été élargie afin de tenir compte des externalités induites par les activités d’innovation venant de l’étranger. Cet article tente de tester cette relation dans le cas d’un pays souvent négligé, le Luxembourg, à partir d’un modèle vectoriel à correction d’erreurs. Ce modèle, plus flexible que l’approche qui consiste à relier de manière ad hoc la productivité à l’innovation, nous permet de tester le caractère exogène des externalités induites par les activités étrangères en R&D.
