Abstract

This paper dwells on the main theoretical aspects of the innovation infrastructure creation. The international experience of making and conducting the most effective policy aimed at identifying and overcoming bottlenecks in the work of the innovation infrastructure at different stages of innovation process is examined. The effectiveness of the Russian innovation infrastructure is evaluated, its gaps are identified and the suggestions for its further development are made, given the international experience and Russian specifics.
